Day 1: Upon arrival, you will be transferred to Volcanoes National Park.

From there, we will drive through the terraced hills of Rwanda to Volcanoes National Park, which is the habitat of the endangered mountain gorillas. Day 2: Gorilla trekking expedition

In addition to your hiking equipment, potable water, and packed meals, the driver will transport you to the first location where you will embark on a gorilla trekking expedition accompanied by ranger guides. The duration of this activity might range from 1 to 8 hours, depending on the gorillas’ mobility.
However, the experience of meeting them is quite gratifying, and you will spend a maximum of one hour observing and documenting them by researching, capturing photographs, and recording films. Following the exercise, explore the neighboring town surrounding the park. In the afternoon, return to the lodge for leisure and relaxation. Day 3: Golden Monkey tracking

There, the park warden will provide you with detailed information about the endangered golden monkeys. This activity typically lasts from 1 to 5 hours and involves seeing the other primates in the park, such as the red-tailed monkeys and Vervet monkeys, from a close distance. After observing the elusive golden monkeys for one hour, capturing photographs and analyzing their activities, return to the base and rendezvous with your driver to travel back to the lodge for refreshment.
Tracking the Golden Monkey
Following lunch, embark on a cultural stroll to Iby’iwachu Cultural Village. This organization operates as a Non-Profit umbrella organization with the objective of enhancing the well-being of reformed poachers and local communities residing near Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park. Day 4: Dian Fossey Hike and Return to Kigali

From there, you will proceed to the trailhead, which is a 30-minute drive away. From the trail head, it will take you only 10 minutes to reach the park boundary where you can access Karisoke research camp.
