Must visit places in Rwanda, Rwanda is a landlocked country located in central Eastern Africa with a size of 26,338 sq.km. Its shares borders with Uganda in the north, Democratic Republic of Congo in the west, Tanzania in the east and Burundi in the south. Rwanda is sometimes referred to as the LAND OF A THOUSAND HILLS, its also know for its breathtaking landscapes, rich cultural heritage and thrilling outdoor activities since every part offers something interesting to explore. Musanze Caves

The caves are found in the northern part of Rwanda close to Volcanoes National Park. Musanze caves were formed as a result of volcanic activities many years ago, the caves were open to the public in 2014. And now they are a famous destination for tourists since they offer a genuine engaging adventure. You get to discover Rwanda’s volcanic origins and the ancient rock formation  as you pass through the dark winding tunnels. Further you get to know about the colonial rule played by these caves. This park is one of the oldest rainforests in Africa found in the southern part of Rwanda near Burundi’s border. Birding is one of the many activities done in this park that is most people refer to it as haven for birdwatchers. Nyungwe has over 300 bird species like Red throated alethe, Kivu ground thrush, collared apalis, Shelley’s ,Ducky Crimson wing, Rwenzori turaco, great blue turaco and the blue headed coucal due to the peaceful atmosphere. With a tour guide you can walk through Nyungwe forest seeing all kinds of colorful birds that make beautiful sounds. Nyanza King’s palace is located in Nyanza district in the southern province of Rwanda. If you want to visit Rwanda, June to September are the best months to do so. Since during this time Rwanda has a favorable climate with relatively cool temperatures and clear skies. This is the best period to travel through out Rwanda.
